I am a photographer based between Juba, South Sudan and Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I do news and documentary photography, and have a MA in Visual Anthropology from Free University in Berlin. My work often focuses on documenting issues related to displacement and the effects of conflict. I have covered the ramifications of war in South Sudan and Central African Republic. I also frequently covers the arts, fashion and sports culture in marginalised countries or communities. In Romania, my work focuses on the intersection between art and activism, the sex industry, the effects and reasons for migration, marginalised communities and women’s stories. I also document issues related to identity, beauty, and the idea of home. I have lived and worked in Sudan, South Sudan, Madagascar and Lebanon. I held photography workshops with teenagers from marginalised communities. My photo and video work has exhibited in Romania, Germany, the UK, Australia, and the US. I speak French, English, Spanish, Italian and Romanian. |
