Ben Camacho is an award-winning photojournalist, visual storyteller and community organizer from Santa Ana, California. He graduated from the University of La Verne in early 2018 with a BA in journalism and a concentration in photojournalism. His photojournalism work is focused on social issues, immigration and migration issues; a large part being stories that have emerged from the migrant caravans in 2018-19. He is co-founder of the Roses In The Concrete organization, whose work is focused on narrative therapy through the arts for youth in Santa Ana. The organization’s work has been showcased by the California State Museum. When not telling stories, he enjoys film photography and collecting vintage cameras.
