I was born in Kashmir (India) the land of gorgeous landscapes popularly known as paradise on earth. After graduating in tourism studies I took up all sorts of odd jobs to support the early period of my photographic career. My passion for photography was an obsession that infused my head and heart since childhood; although I never held a camera until I was 29. Being a keen observer of my surroundings I would always enjoy capturing my thoughts and ideas visually. Eventually this obsession led me into the wonderful realm of photography and a new beginning that kicked off my professional career with my first assignment in a local daily newspaper in 2007. Since then I have evolved both personally & professionally and have produced some thought provoking and storytelling imagery and have developed a strong sense of composition, apparent in my work such as portraiture, photojournalism, landscapes etc. Since 2007 I have worked with regional, national and international publications like Discover India, Fortune India, Civil Society, Reuters, Save the children(NGO),Open magazine, Conveyor magazine, SightLife (NGO), etc. |
