Find a Freelancer

I am a freelance journalist with at least two and a half years' reporting experience in the Middle East, and a total of at least five years in a range of freelance and editorial positions.

For nearly two years I have focused on migration reporting. I successfully launched a reporting series on crowd-funded journalism platform Beacon, predominantly working from Alexandria and Cairo and producing a range of news features and investigative pieces on irregular migration, Mediterranean smuggling networks and the human stories of Syrian and Palestinian refugees around the Mediterranean.

My work has appeared in Al Jazeera America and English, Al-Monitor, Mada Masr, Middle East Eye, Now Lebanon and Vice News.
