Stefan Simanowitz is a London-based freelance journalist. He writes on politics and social justice and has reported from Africa, the middle east, Europe, Asia and the US and has been published in the Guardian, Independent, FT, Washington Times, Global Post, New Internationalist, Christian Science Monitor, New Statesman, Contemporary Review, Korea Times, Mail & Guardian, Salon.com, Publico, Estadao, In These Times, Vice, etc) as well as being Al Jazeera's "royal correspondent" for the 2011 Royal Wedding (!).

Between 1992 and 1994 he worked for in the ANC's press office during South Africa's the first democratic elections.
