EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER IS A NOMAD. Federico Rios (Colombia, 1980). I have worked for national press in Colombia as staff photographer in the newspapers El Espectador and El Tiempo, and as a photographer for international press agency EFE, as well as external collaborator of several international magazines. Parallel to my work of photojournalism, I made a process of research and artistic creation on recurring themes in my career as a photographer: The armed conflict, the environment and its relationship with society. Topics I presented as visual art in different spaces. I have also worked with social programs in photography workshops for children and communities. I have participated, among others, in several collective exhibitions, the last one was the Regional Salon of artists in the Museum of Modern Art of Medellin 2012 and also solo exhibitions as " The signing of the Rivers " at the Caldas art Museum in 2011. Currently working as a documentary photographer available for projects over the world. |
