Marine Olivesi is an independent radio reporter roving around North Africa and the Middle East. She files stories to public radio outlets worldwide (PRI, CBC, Deutsche Welle and Radio France Internationale) on the Arab uprisings, displacement and international migration. Born in Nice, a French town near Italy, Marine feels most at home in border regions. Currently based in Southern Turkey, she covers the Syrian civil war and its impact on civilians --those who fled the country, and those who chose to stay.
