Khazar was born in Kurdish Iran and brought up in Afghanistan and lives today in Sweden. Her latest international reports were done from Afghanistan Syria, and Iraq and showed on CNN, Huffingtonpost, CCCT and SVT .In addition to her work as a journalist, Khazar is also a filmmaker. Her first feature documentary, Where My Heart Beats, about Khazar's return to Afghanistan for the first time in 20 years has been screened by BBC, SVT, ZDF, Al Arabyia and many more. She is right now working with her next documentary where she has for the last four years been following the women fighters in Kurdistan.
