Joshua Hergesheimer (@jhergesheimer) is a Vancouver-based journalist who focuses on the human stories behind the headlines, from mining protests in Guatemala, maternal health efforts in South Sudan and post-conflict reconstruction in the Philippines.

He has been shortlisted twice for an Excellence in Investigative Reporting Award from the Canadian Association of Journalists. His work has appeared in the Vancouver Observer, the National Observer, the Vancouver Sun, the Filipino Post, the Globe & Mail and the Georgia Straight.
