About Joshua is a documentary filmmaker and a journalist. He prides himself on creating visually compelling stories that make difficult topics accessible. His work has been listed for a Grierson, A One World Media Best Television Documentary, Best Feature Documentary and a Frontline Award. He has a multi skill-set, being able to produce, direct and shoot - his filming has featured in British Cinematographer Magazine - and as a journalist, he has investigated stories that have featured on the covers of national newspapers. His work has aired with major broadcasters in the UK, US and globally. Current work He is currently working with the US network PBS Frontline on a long running investigation. He recently completed 'Stacey Dooley, Face to Face with ISIS' that's out in February 2018. Prior to that, he made Africa's Billion Pound Migrant Trail with Benjamin Zand for BBC 1. Early in 2017, he was an Investigative Producer on two fast turn-around films for BBC 1 following the terror attacks in Manchester and London, where he secured access to a friend of the Manchester bomber. He also completed a short film on life after ISIS in Mosul for the BBC and The Battle For Mosul (US title Battle for Iraq) for PBS Frontline and The Guardian, the film revealed the stark reality that the battle to take Mosul from ISIS was having on civilians, the crew were also lucky to survive an ISIS suicide bomb.. The film was shortlisted for best TV Documentary category at the One World Media Awards and listed for a Grierson Award. |
