Eli Reichman began his career as a newspaper photojournalist in 1978 with an internship at The Los Angeles Times. In 1980, Reichman was a photography intern National Geographic Magazine. In 1981, he was a staff photographer with The Kansas City Star Pulitzer Prize winning team for its coverage of the Hyatt Regency skywalk collapse.

Since 1986, Reichman has been a contributing photographer for several publications, including: BusinessWeek, Der Spiegel, Forbes, Fortune, LeMonde, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Time and USA Today.

In addition to his documentary and editorial photography, Reichman shoots and produces multimedia pieces used in humanitarian relief fundraising.
