Jędrzej Nowicki - currently based in Warsaw, Poland. Documentary photographer. In his work, he focuses on problems of social exclusion, human rights, solidarity and social injustice as well as environmental issues. He knows the region of Central and Eastern Europe well. He also photographed in the Middle East and Africa. For the early stage of his career, he has cooperated mainly with Gazeta Wyborcza - the biggest daily newspaper in Poland - for which he covered all major domestic events and many important international topics. Now he moved towards a more documentary approach. His pictures were published in major international magazines such as Le Monde, Die Zeit, Newsweek, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue among others. He is an Ian Parry Scholarship alumnus. |
