In the past he was a university researcher on immigration fluxes and worked in Albania and Kosovo for 3 months after the end of the war (1999). Thus developing a keen interest in photography and reportage, but he never thought it would become his profession.
However in 2011 he went to Athens and then Cairo to follow the protests, understanding that photojournalism is his passion and job, and deciding to focus on popular protests/rebellions and conflict zones.
Cesare has since then travelled to Malaysia, Syria, Turkey and Ukraine, though never forgetting the social issues in his native country, Italy.
