Jordan Gass-Pooré is a New York City-based podcast producer and investigative journalist with more than a decade of journalism experience. A graduate of Texas State University and City, University of London, her work has been published in various outlets throughout the US and UK, including NPR, the Guardian and The Times.

She has worked as an investigative journalist and an undercover reporter with outlets in London, DC, and New York City. Her long-form article for Mother Jones about American adult adoptees throughout the US who are fighting for restored access to their original birth certificates was part of an organization’s lobby packet in Albany and contributed to a legislative success in passing New York Senate bill 3419, which establishes the right of adoptees to receive a certified copy of their birth certificate when they reach the age of 18.

Jordan has been chosen to participate in numerous workshops and conferences by Poynter, the Society of Environmental Journalists, and the Society of Professional Journalists. She is also the co-founder of a student-run radio station at City, University of London called Carrot Radio, and co-founded the women-led, hyperlocal radio news show Local Switchboard NYC.
