Security is an issue we all take seriously. The difference is that if an independent journalist gets kidnapped or killed, he or she will most likely be labelled as ‘an irresponsible daredevil'. If a staffer from a large organisation is kidnapped, he or she will most likely get television interviews and praise for ‘risking it all' to get the story.

The Frontline Freelance Register has, with the generous support of Battleface Plans, been holding our first exhibition of members work, at Prix Bayeux Calvados in Normandy, France.

Featuring the work of 24 members, the exhibition has been hosted within the Frontline Club Ten Year Celebration exhibition at the Radar Gallery.

All FFR members were involved to submit their best single frame form throughout the 12 months prior and 60 submitted an image.

The Frontline Freelance Register is joining forces with the Rory Peck Trust and the Frontline Club to bring you a live online stream of safety tips and advice. Three succinct online panel discussions will address the issues and answer questions about preparing you for working in hostile environments.
