Antoaneta Roussi is a journalist whose work has focused largely on the impact of geopolitics on underrepresented communities. Her freelance work has been published in BBC, NPR, PRI and Salon among others and has taken her from the training grounds of Tibet's national soccer team to inside the homes of Eritrean refugees stuck in Ethiopia. She is currently based in Milan, Italy from where she is covering European politics, but travels frequently to Ethiopia to report on the changes happening within the country following the turnover of the new government. Prior to this, Antoaneta was a staff reporter for a European policy publication in London and was formerly a Reuters stringer in Bulgaria. She is a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism.
