Sam Wolson is a freelance photographer and multimedia producer from Detroit, Michigan currently based out of Nairobi Kenya. His work focuses on issues around public space and marginalized communities in the global south and across the United States. He has been published in New York Times Lens Blog, Newsweek, Slate, Mashable, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and was a regular contributor to The San Francisco Chronicle. He grew up on a flower farm. He has won awards and scholarships from PDN Photo Annual, AP Images, The Eddie Adams Workshop, the Look3 festival, attended the New York Times Portfolio review and has exhibited work across the United States.
