Jack Losh is a journalist, photographer and filmmaker with a focus on conflict, conservation and humanitarian issues. His words and photos are published by world-class media outlets including The Guardian, The Washington Post, Newsweek, The Times, Foreign Policy, Granta, Politico, The Telegraph and others. He has directed and produced documentaries for Al Jazeera English and The Guardian, which have been shown at international film festivals and nominated at top-tier awards.
Jack is a recipient of a grant from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting to document civil war in the Central African Republic. As a member of the Frontline Freelance Register, he has carried out hostile environment training and adheres firmly to the ACOS Alliance principles of freelance journalist safety and ethical news-gathering. He has also undertaken short-term contract work with UNHCR to raise awareness of the displacement crisis in central Africa and had numerous journalistic embeds in high-risk areas with other leading NGOs and UN agencies, including African Parks, Danish Demining Group, UNICEF, War Child and the World Food Programme.
