Alessandro (b.1988) is a photographer specialized in reportage. He is a member of the National Union of Journalists of UK; he accomplished his BA in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Milano in 2010 and his MA with merit in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster of London in 2011. Immediately after he was selected for an internship at the prestigious NOOR photo-agency of Amsterdam; in 2011 and 2012 he has been Assistant Lecturer at the Design Faculty of the Polytechnic of Milano. He lives in the countryside of Milano, minutes away from International Airport of Malpensa.

He worked with LUZ photo-agency of Milano between 2013 and 2014 and SIPA USA of New York between 2014 and 2017; currently, his photographic archive is distributed by Getty Images of London. Since 2013, Alessandro has travelled extensively to Africa and the Middle-East to cover areas of crisis and conflicts. He combines his journalistic reportages with assignments for humanitarian clients such as Emergency and Oxfam GB and commercials for brands like Alitalia Airlines, Duchessa Lia (Capetta wines), StellaRosa wines, Strongbow ciders (Heineken).
He has travelled in more than 25 countries among which Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Senegal, Somalia, South-Sudan, Sri-Lanka, Tanzania, Turkey, Zambia. He has exhibited in the United Kingdom with the Royal Photographic Society and the Royal Geographical Society, in Italy, Germany and Australia. His photographs have been awarded at the Festival of Ethical Photography of Lodi, at the International Photography Award of Los Angeles and at the Andrei Stenin Press Photo Contest Award in Mosca, among others. He gave lectures at the Polytechnic of Milano, at the University of Westminster of London and at the research centre in Prato of the Australian Monash University. For his latest photography project about the sea, he has lived aboard of a small sailing boat for six months, solo-sailing across the Mediterannean basin.
